The Annual Sports Day of the school was held on 28th July 2024 amidst great enthusiasm and spirited participation. Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, Member of Parliament, honoured the school and the occasion as the Chief Guest and presided over the proceedings.
The school grounds came alive with energy and excitement as our young athletes showcased their talent and determination in various track and field events. A large and vibrant crowd, comprising mostly of proud parents and members of the public, cheered wholeheartedly as their children competed with zeal and clinched Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals across multiple categories.
A major highlight of the day was the Malcom (மால்கம்) performance by the daredevils of Community School, which left the audience spellbound. Their coordination, courage, and precision drew repeated rounds of thunderous applause.
The drill displays, executed by different student groups, were a visual treat that added colour and rhythm to the celebration. The pyramid formations showcased remarkable teamwork and balance, while the Silambam demonstration by our juniors reflected cultural pride and martial arts prowess, capturing the attention and admiration of all present.
In the end, the coveted Overall Championship Trophy was proudly lifted by ‘Pandian House’, celebrating their consistent performance and team spirit throughout the day.
In his address, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss lauded the school for its outstanding organization and the all-round excellence of its students.
“What I witnessed today is nothing short of inspiring. The commitment, discipline, and talent on display here rival that of the recently concluded Olympics and in many ways, with even greater perfection,”
he remarked, drawing a standing ovation from the audience. He also praised the management, staff, and students for their dedication to holistic education and fostering athletic and cultural excellence.
The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the crowd with memories of a vibrant, inspiring, and well-executed celebration of sportsmanship and quest for excellence.
