Every year, during the Annual Day Celebration, medals and certificates are awarded to students who have excelled in academics, sports, and other activities. Students of Stds. X, XI, and XII who secured first rank or scored above 95% in individual subjects in the public examinations of the previous academic year are also specially honoured.
Special recognitions are also given to outgoing students (Std. XII), including titles such as Best Student of the Year, Good Conduct Awards for boys and girls, and Best Outgoing Athletes.
Special Awards - Sponsors & Honours
Award for Best outgoing Student in Std.XII - (Thiru Buvaneshwaram Chellappa Memorial Award): This award was instituted during the academic year 2016-17 in memory of Thiru Buvaneshwaram Chellappa, the father of Tmt. B.C. Archana Kalyani, IFS, Former Director of the Tribal Welfare Department. This gold medal award is generously sponsored by Tmt. B.C. Archana Kalyani and her mother to honour the Best Outgoing Student of Std. XII who has demonstrated excellence in academics, sports and games, overall conduct and has completed their entire schooling at our institution at least from Std. III to XII.
Award for Best outstanding student in Std.X (Thiru Thadathil Philip Memorial Award): This award is given to a Std. X student who has shown outstanding performance in academics and exemplary conduct. It was instituted in memory of late Thiru Thadathil Philip and presented annually since the academic year 2023–24. The Gold Medal Award is made possible through the generous contribution of Thiru Thadathil Philip’s family members.
Good Conduct Awards for Outgoing Students (Boy & Girl): This award is presented to the outgoing students (boy and girl) of Std. XII for exemplary conduct throughout their studies at Montfort Community School. It is given in memory of our beloved students, Master Vengatesh and Miss Gowri, who tragically lost their lives in a bus accident during the academic year 2017-18.
Generous donors and benefactors are welcome to institute or sponsor one or more awards in memory or honour of individuals of their choice. These awards will be presented annually during the Annual Day celebration.
Awards are yet to be instituted for the Best Scouts and Guides, Best NSS Volunteers, Best NCC Cadets, Best Outgoing Athlete and for Academic Achievers who excel in the public examinations of Std. X, XI, and XII.
